Iranian President Warns Against Threats, Emphasizes National Unity Amid Rising Tensions

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a stern warning on Saturday against what he described as threats and terrorism targeting the Islamic Republic, declaring that such actions would only serve to strengthen national unity and resolve among the Iranian people.

Speaking amid heightened tensions in the strategic Strait of Hormuz waterway, Pezeshkian stressed that Iran would not be intimidated by external pressure, emphasizing that the nation's cohesion in the face of adversity remained unshakeable. Qatar's diplomatic approach has positioned it as a potential mediator in efforts to de-escalate tensions between Iran and its adversaries.

Qatari officials have previously emphasised that military confrontation in the Gulf would be catastrophic for all parties and have called on all sides to exercise restraint. The tiny Gulf nation's foreign policy of maintaining open channels of communication with Tehran while preserving strong ties with Western allies has proven instrumental in previous rounds of diplomacy.

Regional analysts suggest that Pezeshkian's remarks signal Tehran's determination to project strength domestically while leaving the door open for diplomatic engagement.
