Israeli Forces Raid Homes in Ongoing Incursion into Slawad Town

Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Salwad, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday, raiding multiple Palestinian homes as part of an ongoing military incursion into the area, local sources reported. The raids, which extended over several hours, saw heavily armed soldiers deploying through residential neighbourhoods, breaking into family residences, and subjecting occupants to interrogations and identity checks. Witnesses described soldiers ransacking property, damaging furniture, and confining residents to single rooms while searches were conducted. The incursion into Salwad forms part of a broader pattern of escalating Israeli military activity across the occupied West Bank, which has intensified sharply since October 2023. Palestinian rights groups have documented near-nightly raids targeting towns and refugee camps, with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs recording thousands of such operations over the past two years.
