Worshippers Gather at Al-Aqsa Mosque for Dawn Prayer

Thousands of worshippers performed the dawn (Fajr) prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, according to the Quds News Network, in a continued show of presence at Islam's third-holiest site. Palestinians have repeatedly urged worshippers to maintain a strong attendance at the mosque, particularly for the early-morning prayer, as a means of asserting the site's Islamic character against Israeli restrictions on access.

The Al-Aqsa compound remains a recurring flashpoint. Israeli authorities frequently impose age limits and other curbs on Palestinian worshippers seeking to enter, while permitting settler incursions into the courtyards under police escort — measures Palestinians and much of the Muslim world view as an erosion of the site's sanctity and a violation of the historic status quo, under which Jordan administers the holy places.

Qatar has consistently condemned Israeli measures at Al-Aqsa and backed Jordanian custodianship of Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian sites, framing their protection as a collective responsibility of the Arab and Muslim world.
