Qatar's Al Ansari meets Canada's PM Principal Secretary Scott Gilmore in Doha

Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met Scott Gilmore, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada, in Doha on Tuesday. The Peninsula Qatar reported that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Global Security Forum 2026 in Doha.

According to The Peninsula Qatar, the two sides discussed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them.

The newspaper added that they also discussed the latest regional developments. It said the talks focused specifically on ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting security and stability in the region.
