Qatar PM, Saudi FM discuss bilateral ties and regional stability

Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to review bilateral relations and the latest regional developments. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Doha and Riyadh across political and economic files, alongside efforts to support security and stability in the region. During the call, Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar's support for diplomacy and dialogue between the United States and Iran, viewing negotiation as the path to defusing tensions and reinforcing peace in the Gulf and the wider Middle East. The exchange reflects the close coordination between the two Gulf states, whose ties have deepened since the 2021 Al-Ula reconciliation that ended the rift in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
